Lip Swatch! - Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick - Dark Pink Frost - 502A

I have a post with 9 of the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipsticks swatched out here.   This post is part of my expansion of that post, in which I swatch each color on my lips!

Dark Pink Frost is a lip-toned nude on me.  It evens out my liptone, and adds some shimmer.  The best part about this "Frost" is that it isn't "Frosty".  It shimmers, it shines, it even glows a bit, but the shimmer is a white pearl mixed in with copper, so it stays very clear of that 80's pastel frost look.  I think this is a great "no mirror" color.  You can toss it in your bag, and apply with without looking, and you don't have to worry about it looking uneven or sloppy.  I think that makes it convenient for outdoor events, where you want to look pulled together, but you don't want to whip out a mirror compact.

And I just have to say, hooray for copper shimmer.  I like it so much better than white or silver, but it can be hard to find.

Ok, on to the lipstick!

First, bare lips.  I prepped them with a thin application of Lansinoh:

Now, few swipes, applied straight from the tube.  I'm not sure you can tell (I can hardly tell), but yes, I left half of my lips bare for comparison.  The left side of the photo has the lipstick applied.

Next is full lip.  I applied directly from the tube to the bare side.  This color goes on very sheer, and builds with a few swipes.  I don't find any need for a lipbrush.

I don't find any need for a lipgloss to top the Silk Finish lipsticks.  After applying my Lansinoh Lanolin, my lips are soft and moisturized, and then adding the Silk Finish on top just makes them even glossier.  The formula is soft and slippery, and there is zero stickiness.
